The game will be made up of 4 rounds of trivia spread throughout the fundraiser event. A professional trivia host from NYC Trivia League will direct teams (ideally 3-6 people per team) to sign up for the game. Each team will need a smartphone to scan a QR code that you will find on tables throughout the space. This will take you to a virtual answer sheet which is accessible via a web browser. (No downloads required. Only one smartphone needed per team)
Here is a brief demo of the software.
Teams will come up with a team name and get signed up for the game. The trivia host will explain the structure of the game on the microphone.
As our host asks a trivia question on the mic it will appear in text on the teams' smartphones, so you will be able to see the question as the host is asking it. Players will have a limited time to confer with their teams and enter in the response they believe to be correct, submitting it before the end of the countdown timer. At this point the host will reveal the correct answer to that question.
There is a scoreboard on the answer sheet that updates throughout the game so teams can see how their score stacks up against the other teams. Our host will also periodically announce the scores between rounds. At the end of 4 rounds, if there is a tie for the top spot, our host will ask a tie-breaker question so that there is one clear winning team.
To conclude the game the host will announce the final standings!
